This year has been quite a year! In March I learned about a global pandemic by the name of COVID-19 aka coronavirus an unknown illness caused by a virus that has spread from person to person and it has turned this world upside down. We are all practicing social distancing, wearing mask, and adjusting to this new norm. I have been fortunate to still have a job, to go home to the safety of my family and to know we are all protected as well. Even during the pandemic I got an opportunity through my job to apply for a promotion as a Breastfeeding Coordinator and after three long months of waiting I received the promotion! It wasn’t easy receiving this promotion but I thank God for giving me people that helped me to speak up and advocate for myself during this hiring process. The saying is “ A closed mouth don’t get fed” and I learned very quickly to open my mouth to what I exactly wanted and I received that and more. I thank God for even granting me with the many petitions I have been asking for all this year.
Despite a global pandemic I have stayed in my right mind, stayed healthy, and have been blessed with increased finances, creativity, and advocacy work. My creativity has been boosted by the climate of the world. I thought to my feet in late March and when the governor of PA mandated for everyone to wear mask I started to create crochet mask that are both custom made and even with filters in them. I was supported from people everywhere and I thank God! Music and ministry has also been blessed and while seeing loved ones passing on and sickness spreading throughout the land I started to pray and sing more for anyone and everyone that needed to be uplifted. Even as everything started to become virtual I became more available on all my social media platforms even including Zoom, Tik tok and such to uplift and inspire. I chuckle at God and I think to myself and wonder how he has been able to allow me prosper even during a pandemic! So I continue to be heavy on the thank you God for all the many blessings and I am waiting patiently to see what else he does for me this year!
