Imagine waiting for that someone you have been anticipating almost all your life. You have been through a heartbreak or two, the emotions of dating relationships, and have kissed a few frogs along the way in hopes of finding “The One”. You have had great examples of love and marriages that has been long lasting in your family from your grandparents to your parents. It has been years since you have written down your vision of the love you have been waiting to receive. You really just wanted that someone to value you and know your worth . You have even been writing letters to your future fiancé in hopes you would be able to read it to them one day. This was me, patiently waiting for my prince to come and rescue me from what seemed like a fairy tale story that my mother read to me almost every night as a kid.
It wasn’t until…Saturday April 17th, 2021 when I stood in front of my Prince that confessed his love to me in front of some our most precious family and friends. I cry while I write this because this surprise was something above and beyond I could ever dream of. It was something better than the Disney princess stories that I grew up watching on TV and even better than what was written in story books. This is a true love story that will be told to our children for generations to come. A love story for those who believe in love at first sight and those who believe in love that will last forever. Even if you don’t believe in love right now you will see the love that we both share that seeps from every pour of our being. This is exactly us! My fiancé Raynard Brant and I have been dreaming up this true love story from a very young age. We decided in our hearts that we would never give up on love and we will keep searching until we found each other in hopes to spend eternity loving one another. We stood at the lake where we first met 7 months ago and we looked into each others eyes. Every word that my fiancé uttered out of his mouth were simply beautiful and I stood there waiting with my heart and ears attentive to the words he expressed to me that day. He then grabbed a beautiful blush velvet box that held the most beautiful ring that was a symbol of our love and got on one knee and asked me that one question that I have been waiting to hear all my life. Pyrnie Sade Calloway, Will you Marry me? This was the most amazing surprise of a lifetime and it will be a story to tell until the end of time.
